OVERLANDING AND TOURING
THE EXPEDITION 134:
AUSTRALIA’S BEST OVERLAND STORAGE BOX
The Expedition134 is an Australian-made overland storage box 100% designed and developed for rugged and harsh outdoor environments by a 100% Australian-owned company. Overlanding is about exploration, not conquering obstacles. With the Expedition134, we’ve conquered the obstacles caused by so many other storage boxes, so we can all focus solely on the journey and those far-off destinations.
Unlike storage boxes made of other materials, the tough, injection moulded Expedition134 does not stick to your fingers in the freezing weather, nor burn you after being left in the hot sun. The innovative and engineered design enhances overall strength and durability whilst reducing weight. So although the overland storage box weighs just 3.95 kilograms, the lid is rated to handle up to 120-kilogram loads and can easily double as a convenient step. The box also holds up to 55 litres of gear.
The Expedition134 is a heavy-duty storage box with no metal parts that will rust or corrode in harsh environments. The custom seal design also keeps your overlanding equipment and food stores dry and free from insects, animals, dust, and the elements.
Overlanding takes a lot of self-reliance and we know you don’t need to be worrying about your equipment. No journey is too harsh or extreme for Expedition134. It will travel with you to the most remote corners of the world. More importantly, it provides reliable storage in any environment, whether it’s rugged backcountry, salt-sprayed beaches, or sandy desert.
This tough and durable overland storage box won’t crack, leak, or wear away quickly. The Expedition134 will be the same storage box from the beginning of your adventure, until the end. It will have just seen a few more incredible places. We back our product with a 30-day money-back guarantee and a 2-year warranty.
The Expedition134 overland storage box comes with reinforced external tie-down points on the corners, so you can secure it on a roof rack and still open the lid without having to undo and redo ratchet straps. This design is key to removing yet another frustrating obstacle many overlanders face with their 4WD storage.
The overland storage box’s flat internal floor makes it ideal for packing and easy to clean. These boxes are also designed to be stacked on top of each other, with the base of one box locking into place with the lid of another. The Expedition134 overland storage box also comes in four different colours, allowing you to colour-code and easily identify which box you require at a glance.
The design behind the Expedition134 overland storage box is based on years of experience overlanding and touring in the harsh Australian outback. It offers excellent value for money for those seeking a tough, durable, and well-designed storage box for overlanding in the most rugged and harshest places around the world.

Expedition134 was established in 2015 by Ben Kincade and Nic McKenzie, from a breakdown in the Simpson Desert. From this, an idea spawned, and we developed the Expedition134 storage boxes and quick-release straps with more ideas in the pipeline. 2021 commences a new chapter for Expedition134 with Nic and his wife Kari continuing on the business.
As proud Aussies we make our gear right here in Australia and go out of our way to support other small Aussie businesses as well. Our Expedition134 storage boxes are made on the Sunshine Coast, and our unique, quick-release straps are custom-made in the small rural Queensland town of Mareeba. Accompanying our own products are what we consider to be other quality-made gear that we have used and proven ourselves. As we find more items that we love, this range may expand even further in the future.

Order arrived promptly. Boxes look great and I’m hoping that they will stand up to tough outback traveling later on this year. Clips and seals seem strong and I like the option to use tie downs to keep in place in the back of the ute.
Thank you for the offer of a review. On fitting the hitch to the brackets on my vehicle the mounting bracket appeared bulky to remain on the vehicle. I tried to reverse the fitting, using the awning bracket on the vehicle which looked more esthetic, but proved too difficult to mount the awning. Putting brackets the suggested way works fine, but with the bulky brackets mounted on my vehicle.
Got one to test it out and see if the size suited me now I have 4. All colour coded so the family and I know which is what. You can pack heaps in with its cleaver shape. If it was any bigger I would be overpacking them and they would be too heavy to lift so the size is bang on. Seals are super air tight, unreal. I look forward to testing them our for the next few years to ensure the plastic hold ups with UV and weather. Totally stoked so far!
On a recent trip we encountered dust whilst travelling and rain when camped. These boxes performed flawlessly. No dust got in and all the rain did was wash the dust off. Everything inside was unaffected and travelled well. First boxes I’ve ever had that kept the dust and ants out.
We have had ours in the back of our Toyota for about 3 months now - heaps of rain since and everything is nice and dry inside. Happy with the purchase.
It is what they say it is.
Great product with easy instructions to follow
These boxes are awesome. They really are tough.
Hands down the best camping/travel/storage box in the world. Light weight, strong, stackable, lockable and most importantly water and dust proof. Non other like it.
So since buying 3 boxes last year, a limited edition pink one mid year, I recently bought a limited edition turquoise box as a gift.
I highly recommend these boxes, super tough (I stand on mine regularly), dust proof, water proof, I love how the recess in the lids guides my tie down strap, they stack on top of each other perfectly and hold their position, and recently I’ve used the Expedition straps to tie them down on my canopy, including locking them up too.
No doubt I will be buying more!
Last harvest season I went out to help out some farmers I know with their harvest program. The lack of temporary workers in Australia at the time & made it hard for them so I rolled up my sleeves & helped out. I loaded up two Expedition 134 storage boxes in my favourite colours with dry stores & headed out.
They work well, kept the mice & bugs out too! I had them in the back of my Jeep but I since have purchased the tie down straps so I can put them up on the roofrack.
Just took delivery of this product. Looks fantastic!
So good to be able to buy Aussie designed and made.
Well done guys - thank you
Had these delivered for a trip up to Dirk Harthog. Loved them. Ditched our old boxes that we had left and bought another expedition box due to the accessibility, tie down points and it doubling as a step ladder for the shorties accessing the roof rack.
Love it , it's tough , sturdy . Holds all my kitchen camp ware (butane stove, pans , cutlery, cups , essentials . I like it so much, I’m gonna get another. It’ll be easy as to tie down , stoked & Aussie made. Thanks so much!
It fits... Stanley socket set and screwdriver set, spanner roll (large), hammer (med) , 2x vice grips, Allen keys set, 2x bum wipe, a restraint bag (6x 500kg ratchets&straps), kings recovery kit, kingcrome 80amp jumper leads, a 200mm x 250mm x 150mm box with wheel nuts/studs, cable ties ect, a roll of paper towel, a large total tool breaker bar (diagonal) and wheel sockets.
